    Subwoofer Rattles Storage Door

I have an issue with the door on the dry storage compartment in front of my drivers seat with my subwoofer. It rattles really bad when the subwoofer hits. I can only turn the gain on the amp up to about 20% before its an obnoxious rattle.

I have found online where you can order a plastic latch in lieu of the metal one that I have now. I thought this along with adding some rubber on the inside where the latch hits may help the problem.

Has anyone else had this problem? Anybody else have any other solutions?

See if you adjust the striker so the needs a little push to latch. This adds just enough tension to prevent the rattle. Adding a little foam weather strip to the door jam can also add a little tension to the door when its closed.

Take it to an audio shop and have them build a sealed box for the sub. It will sound a million times better/ louder and no more rattles.

I have the plastic latch and it still rattles. The weather stripping is the best option
