    Stereo problems

    Several issues.
Stereo will work when key is in auxiliary position, but not when boat is running.
Tower speakers are not working at all in either position.
I'm totally dumb when it comes to the stereo, so don't laugh...
The two silver box thingies in the storage compartment under the glove box have red flashing lights on them even when the key is in the off position. The top box light turns blue when in auxiliary position, but otherwise they are flashing red.
The folks who de-winterized left a couple cables off the house battery and one of the guys at the marina hooked them back up for us on our first run out when we realized we had issues (that was another thread).
Right after we hooked the cables back up everything was working. All this started last trip out after about 15 hours on the boat this season.
Wondered if a cable was hooked up wrong and something is fried.... I read some threads here about that, but wasn't sure why it worked for 15 hours??

I am assuming those silver box things are your wet sounds amplifiers. Most likely a syn 6 and syn 2. Go to www.wetsounds.com and download the PDF manuals. They will have a trouble shooting section. There are several light blinking sequences described. Should give you a clue as to what is happening. Try that and report back and we can help some more.

Exactly the place to start. I would also check the state of both batteries. I find it strange that the system works with the key in one position and not the other. The stereo should receive the same turn on signal in either position.

Well bad news I guess. I've got the light flashing sequence that says to contact wet sounds

Disconnect the power and do a hard reset. See what that does.

Well that didn't work either. Contacted wet sounds. Someone's coming next week to check it out. It still works in auxiliary but not when running. Tower speakers don't work at all. Does that smaller amp run the tower speakers? Cause that light keeps flashing in either position, but the bigger amp light turns blue in auxiliary.

Yes the smaller amp runs your tower speakers.

On today's trip out, the stereo started working off and on, mostly on. Tower speakers still not. Still having someone to come check it. But we have a couple other problems (starting new thread on it in general discussion).
