    Isn't that basically costing you more than if you sold your syn 6 and the used that money towards the new amps? I'm not sure about the actual set up as you have it laid out. I do know you are talking $1150-650 so $500 vs just spending $600 for a syn 4. Just going off MSRP prices and excluding tax. I do know the setup talked about earlier will rock.

      I have the stock setup syn2/pro80, and syn6/1-4=cabin(6)speakers, 5-6 bridge to upgrade xs-12. My goal is to add power to the pro80s, and the 6 cabin speakers.

      If i keep the syn6, and syn2, im only out $600. for an added syn4, and dont have to mess with trying to sell the syn6, and im not sure what a used on is worth either.

        We ran 3 pairs of in boat speakers and an XS 12 off the syn 6. It works well. However you get more power per speaker and for the sub with the syn 4 and syn 2 combo for in boats and sub. For the least amount of hassle you idea seems to work. I'm just a little unclear on how to use 4 channels on the syn 4 for 1 pair of speakers.

          On paper your plan works fine. In practice, personally, I'd like to have all of the cabin speakers powered off of the same amp, or at least the same kind of amp. The syn6 is class a/b and the syn2 is class h and they are probably going to have slightly different sonic signatures. If there's a say to power all of the xs650s from the syn6 and the sub from the syn2, that'd probably be my own personal preference.

              Bridged into two channels.

                Speaker 1 + to chnl-1 + and speaker 1 - to chnl-2 -. Speaker 2 + to chnl-3 + and speaker 2 - to chnl-4 -.

                I would not be worried about the 4 main cabin speakers being on one type of amp and the 4 bow speakers being another. I dont think there will be a sound quality difference between two amps with a different class of power supply.

                There would be a noticeable output difference between the 4 on the Syn-2 @ 175W rms each and the 4 on left on the Syn-6 at 55W rms each.

                  Shawndoggy you may be on to something about all the cabin speakers being on the same amp. If i put the bow speaker on channels 1-4 on the Syn6 i may not be able to adjust them with the other cabin speakers on the WS420. I have never installed or messed with an EQ.
                  Here is another opiton....
                  Syn4= all 6 cabin speaker
                  Syn2= sub
                  Syn6= channels 5/6 to run Pro80's (channels 1-4 are unused tho)
                  WS420 to control

                    The WS-420 only has a single set of in-boat RCA outputs, so all the in-boats will be at the volume level that the WS-420 in-boat knob it turned to. If you wanted independent control for the bow, put a level control in series after the WS-420 and before the bow amp. You will also need to split that output from the WS-420 before the amps.

                    With the Pro80 wired to chnls 5 and 6 of the Syn-6, they would only be receiving 155W rms.

                    Moving them to chnls 1/2 and 3/4 of the Syn-6 keeps them at current power they have now on the Syn-2.

                      So how could i use the syn6 to power all 6 XS650's, and how much power would each speaker have?

                        The typical configuration, and how it comes from the factory, is that the bow pair is wired to chnls 1 and 2 and the 4 on the main cabin are wired to chnls 3 and 4. This leaves 5 and 6 for a sub or two. In this configuration, the in-boats receive about 55W rms each.

                          I understand that, but can i run all 6 cabin speakers on that amp, and give them more than the stock?

                            You could move 2 pair over to chnls 5 and 6. They would receive in the neighborhood of 150W each. This leaves chnls 1-4 for the remaining 4.
