I also have a syn 1 on order to push the XXX V2 whenever it comes in. I just can't decide if I should cancel the syn1 and XXX order or roll with it.

That's one of the ones that I was not impressed with. It hits the mid range bass notes hard, just not the low end ones.

You head it with dead batterys. With battery charger on or good batterys I have yet to hear any boat sound any where as good or loud.

I agree with you timmy. We had eppies boat, clints and mine. None of the boats there hit really hard with bass. If you Bruizza want to hear a xxx install in a sealed box to built to spec and power with a syn 1 I will be happy to show you. I also agree that you will need to pair of rev 10s. Yes the rev 10s are better then the pro 80s you still will barely hear them if you are wakboarding. I have 4 rev10 powered with 2 syn 4s and its loaud but we are still almost turning then up all the way when we wakeboard.

I would love to hear your XXX and syn1 combo. We have 1 set of Rev 10s coming with the boat and I will be adding a 2nd set by our Powell trip. They will be powered with. Syn4.

I am pretty happy with the bass that comes out of the JL W7 in Eppie's Epic, I haven't heard a single woofer installation that hits any harder yet. I've heard some boats that have 2 or 4 subs that hit harder but not any with just 1.

Jars what kind of music do you generally listen to?

Akdoc what kind of music do you generally listen to?

I'm really starting to lean towards the RE sub over the XXX. Using the amp I already have and going with the RE allows me to go with a 2nd set of Rev 10s.

I've got a 10" RE re in my boat. It's an extremely mild set up with only 200w going to it. The little thing just hammers though. It also sounds good with all types of music. I listen to everything from Pantera to Tennessee Ford to Jameriqui to PUTS, the Rolling Stones, Buddy Rich, Jimmy Smith, The Smiths, Muddy Waters, Primus, Pixies, Royal Crown Review, RUN DMC, White Stripes, Bauhaus, Rick James, the Cult, Jonny Cash, Allman Brothers, Count Basie, Dave Brubeck, Beck, Beatles, Beastie Boys, you get the point, everything. Oh, except that POP country crap or the POP radio rap. I couldn't tell you anything about those.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

Do it. If you don't like it, put it up on CL or on here for sale and someone will probably buy it.

I listen to a lot of different music. I usually lean toward Jack Johnson, Dave Matthews, Bob Marley, more chill stuff. We still crank out some old school rock and country. Listen to rap a bit but not much.
