Anyone have any experience with this. Rand subwoofer?

    http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...o-SXX12D2.html

With the XXX V2 being 45-60 days out for shipping I'm thinking of grabbing one of these subs to Putin it's place until thenXXX arrives. Figure I can then throw it in my vehicle or run 2 subs in the boat. I just have no experience with this brand but the reviews rock!

Damn iPad meant this brand subwoofer.

My buddy TJ has a couple of those in his H2 and they hit pretty hard.

I have the wetsounds xxx and unless they did a big change on the v2 I wouldn't buy it again in my opinion there are better out there.

        Comparable to a XXX?

IMO, it comes down to ones flavor. I think the RE is a little more SQ where as the Wet Sounds XXX leans toward the SPL side.

I have not auditioned one personally, but some liken it to a W7.

I think it will probably work pretty good and them when you get the xxx you wont go OMG what a difference. The only sub I have disappointed with in a boat was the Boston oval but I think that was because the enclosure specs rely on the car acoustics to help it out on the low end. I built a box for my friends son and we put it in the boat and it did not sound good at all. We put it in his montero and it fricken pounds!!

Hmm I might go this route. Also checking the pricing Nick gave me if I lose the XXX option and pay a couple hundred more I can add the second set of rev 10s back into the deal. Possibly give up a little boom for some more tower love???

I just installed a RE sex series 12 in my tige and it pounds! I would put it in between spl and sq. re subs are very good and reliable. I had an re xxx 15 that was ridiculous it just wouldn't fit in the boat right. I bet you'll be happy with that sxx and won't want to replace it anyway!

Bruizza... Look into a JL 12w6, or the Exile Xi 12. I put a 12w6 into my boat this past feb and paired it with the JL XD 600 amp. Hell, you can even put in a 12w3 and it will be a fantastic sub.

                    Custom box before install

                    Sub installed:

The Syn-2 would deliver 700W RMS to a 2 Ohm DVC sub wired in series then bridged on the amp. Id rock it!

I have this amp sitting in my garage.

I also have a syn 1 on order to push the XXX V2 whenever it comes in. I just can't decide if I should cancel the syn1 and XXX order or roll with it.

What size and type of box did you do that sounds so good? I wasn't impressed with the 2 that I have heard in boats. The one I put in a Montero fricken slams. If you want one of those, my buddy has one that he will sell.

I heard the XXX, 12" JL W7 and the Boston all at the same time last summer (jzts0214 can testify) and I just don't think the Boston puts out the low end that the W7 and the XXX do. He may feel differently though.
