I'll have to measure the opening on the port side or just build the box in the whole. Definitely needs to be a small box cause my 2 batteries and amps will be in there as well. And is that a sealed box or ported???

So I pulled all of the old Alpine speakers out of the boat as well as the HU. Hooked the HU up to a battery and wired in the speakers and the HU is TOAST!!! Can you say corrosion. So looks like I am buying a new HU. Looking at the clarion M109. Anyone got anything bad to say about that HU???
BTW I ordered the JBL 6.5s Saturday. Looks like they will be here on Thursday. Its gonna be like Christmas. I ordered them from memory. Thought there was 6 but there was only 4. Gotta find a place to the other two. The four that are there are in back part of the boat. Gotta figure out how to get some in the bow too. SCARY!!!!! Is regular copper speaker the right move with heat shrink around it or is that bad??
Still don't have the battery setup completely figured out. I am pretty dumb when it's come to that. Still gotta do a lot of reading with what setup is right for me. Don't know if the isolator is the way to go or the add a battery kit??? Feel like an idiot trying to figure it out.
Once I get started on the build I'll open a new for and show the progress. Will hopefully go pretty fast cause I wanna be at the lake in 2 to 3 weekends. Wish me luck.
