    Bluetooth audio?

Is there an adapter to plug in the usb outlet to get bluetooth audio with tige touch.

    #2
IIRC, the Clarion head-unit that Tige is using has BT and will be seen as an AUX.

If not, i think there is a BT device that will interface with the Clarion C-Net port, which is where something like the CD changer and Ipod adaptor plug up.

*EDIT* Well, I guess not. I thought Clarion had integrated BT on some of there units year ago or so, but I do not see it listed as a feature.

Yah I'm looking for a bluetooth interface that plugs into usb port to eliminate that silly white cable.

I use this in my side by side. Works great.

the aftermarket clarion adapter, the blt 370, just plugs into an aux (RCA) input. very simple and effective. I have one and like it.

Heres a device worth looking at. Can transmit and receive, be charged via USB and has a 3.5MM jack output so it can either interface with your source unit via 3.5 x 3.5 or 3.5 x RCA.

This one from Monoprice works too. $20

It plugs into the wall, or you can use a usb cable to power it - so just get a cheap cig lighter charger from them too.

The Aventalk BT worked ok. The distance was better then 100Ft with the receiver in the shop and the BT MP3 across the parking lot. One thing we did find is that the sound quality went down hill as the MP3's volume went above the half way mark. We had some issues getting it to pair with a 2nd Aventalk. The hope was to be able to use 2, one in transmit and one in receive, when neither the MP3 or deck has BT. It did introduce some noise when the device was in use and charging.

Here's what we are going to try next....Miccus BluBridge Home.

I'll say again that the clarion blt 370 is the best thing going right now.

                  Why?

First, it's made specifically for a mobile environment.

Second, it's hard wired. No messing around with chargers, adapters, etc. Just wire it to 12v and you are off to the races.

It won't work as a link up device (though I strongly doubt the value of bluetooth for that application because of latency issues)

I just placed an order for one. I will let you guys know how it goes. Being able to wire it in and not having to worry about charging was a key factor.

Yes, I installed the BLT370 and it works pretty good. As soon as I turn the key on it pairs automatically. The sound quality isn't as good as the usb cable but it is a nice feature.

I just fired up my Miccus device at work to try it out. Came on the brown truck today. I have been using it about 5 munites only, but it seems promising. I bought it to use at the shop so I could do music from my phone AND answer the darned thing when the phone rings....

Seems to still sound good at full volume too.... 5V USB powered....
                          It's not an optical illusion.
                          It just looks like one.....

Thanks, B! Ive got a big Chaparral in the shop with an older Clarion M455 head-unit. I need to confirm that the clarion BT will work with that model, but I like the idea of a hard wired/permanent install.

I am looking at the Miccus and a couple others. If I do one if those, I am considering hard-wiring the USB to a 12V source and make it permanent, rather then the customer having to remember to take it with them and charge. Another option would be to install a USB/3.5 combo jack, hard wire the USB's power and ground only for charging the unit, and the 3.5 portion running to the head-units rear AUX. This way, the customer can take it with him if he wants, but its got constant 12V for charging when in the boat.

Mike the clarion unit works with anything with an AUX in. it's not clarion specific. If you have an aux in, it works.

Good USB port for charging here:
