    Wet Sounds XS-650 on tower?

Have any of you guys heard the XS-650's at ~70 feet? I know the HLCDs are louder and clearer back there, but I got a good deal on a pair of 650's and they fit in my existing cans. I'm moving from a pair of Polk coax db651's, that were "almost" loud enough for me when wakeboarding and more than enough for surfing. I really just want to be able to hear the music clearly wakeboarding, I don't need it at ampitheater sound quality (not this year anyway).

How much power will you be driving them with?

Being that they are an in-boat type coaxial speaker, they will still struggle to project quality sound out to wake-board distance as compared to an HLCD. One advantage they have over the Polks is the high power handling. You will need to push them with quite a bit of power to accomplish what you want.

I haven't bought the new amp yet, but it will be at least 100 RMS, which is what they are rated at. I spoke with Wet Sounds about them and they suggested I could run up to 150 to them as long as the high pass crossover is on.
