WS-420 + new Amp: Wiring question

OK so the current set up is the Factory Tower of power... WS Syn 6 and the Syn 2, Have the XS-10 Sub, 6 650 Cabin Speakers and 4 Pro 60 Towers. All of this is run through the WS-420 as it should be My goal is to add a Digital Designs 12" sub and a 1000 watt amp. Have both ready and bought just need to know how to wire the Second amp into the 420 so all will run together. The amp is a 1 channel specific for this sub so it should be simple enough.

IMO i think all i would have to do is Y cable the output from the 420 (sub output) put a Y on both the Left and Right then put the RCA's for each amp use a left and right to each amp and i think that would do it. But im not a pro like some of you guys so was looking to see if this was the right idea before jumping into action.

I would split the RCA at the amp rack and NOT at the WS-420. This keeps you with only a single RCA run for the subs instead of adding 1 more.

Now for a question: Where are you locating this new sub? I have a couple of suggestions I would play through my head.

    1) lose the XS-10FA and put the new 12 in its place. In the right location, the 1000W 12 will be so dominant, the 10 will be like blue on black and a whisper on a scream if left in the mix.

1b) sell the Syn6 and get a Syn4. This will nearly double the output to the XS-650's. This will be needed in order to keep pace with a 1000W 12.

    2) Reconfigure the Syn6 so the XS-10 is on the same volume control as the in-boats. I would probably re-tune the XS-10 and maybe even gain it down. This was its not hammering away as if its the dominant sub, but helping out with those mid-bass notes in the 45-80 Hz range. This option I would just have to spend some time listening to just to see how it sounds. May take some trial and error with the tuning.
