    Big Daddy Stereo Install

My stereo was stolen two years ago, and Im just getting around to replacing it.

Got my sub installed last night:

And the Head Unit. I still need to hide the old Clarion holes with a waterproof splash guard:

Also got my amp in. Kind of a crappy pic, but oh well. It was dark.

So this monkey walks into a bar...

So I ran my boat this weekend with the new stereo. The amp got hot one time when I was running XM and had to turn the volume up louder to throttle the party on the houseboat. I would typically never run it that loud, but we were the life of the party. The sub sounds great, the cheapo Clarions were fine after I stuck the channel on hi-pass for them. The battery lasted good too, surprisingly. I ran the stereo for over 2 hours on the battery and had no problem starting the boat after. This week, my water-proof stereo cover comes.. the new cable for the Ipod, and my bass control knob. After that, I will be looking at tower speakers and new 5-1/4's to replace the clarions.
