    Wetsounds amp problem?

We were our in the boat last night and listening to some tunes and watching the sunset. I notice not all my speakers were working. I opened the compartment and the syn 6 had a blue light and the syn 4 had a flashing red light. Why is this light flashing?

The Syn series amps are processor controlled and are able to give us a few basic fault codes. If you refer to the manual (can be downloaded from the Wet Sounds site) it will give you some direction. It could be low battery level.

Code 14 states "overvolt, do not start engine"

So it says charging system failure, Should it not have the same code on both amps. My tower speakers and my starboard side speakers are not working.

To late I already started the boat before I realized the red light flashing.

Its best to verify the voltage output of the alternator with a DVOM, dont trust the on-board gauge.

Try powering down for a minute and see if it resets.

Called Wetsounds, they told me I had to send it in. Sent it on Thursday. Hopefully they have some good turnaround time.
