Rev 8's on Alpha Z tower?

Anyone have any pics of the Rev 8's on their Alpha Z?? Any issues? I'm thinking of unloading my Samson HD-7's for a pair. Thoughts?

I do not see any issue at all, considering the REV-8 has about the same pod as the Pro60 and the REV-10 the Pro80. Both the Pro60 and Pro80 fit perfectly on the Alpha-Z.

Only concern is with the quick release. On the older models, there was a sleeve that covered the screws, to make it look like it was part of the tower.

I have 4 rev 8's with swivel quick release on our RZ4 with alpha Z. I'll take some pics when I get home on Tues or Wed...

Those sleeves are Tige specific and not a Wet Sounds accessory. There have been quite a few owners who have added the 60's, 80's and even MB8's that were not bought through Tige.

                  Simple answer, Rev-10.

Now, comparing the new Rev-8 to the Pro80 is a really tough call as they are totally different animals. In simple terms, the Rev8 is the next generation Pro80 in a housing thats comparable to the Pro60. Although the current Pro80 is far less harsh/bright then the 1st gen, it can still be a little "in your face" when close up, where as the REV series has taken the HLCD to a completely new level. They are powerful, tons of projection, solid mid-bass, but soooo smooth as compaired to a traditional pro-axial HLCD like the Pro80.

If price is not an issue (dont over look amp power here too), then go with the REV-10, if hang height is the deciding factor, then go REV-8.

Bottom line, I dont think you would be disappointed with either the Pro or REV series, but if you heard them side by side, you would clearly hear the difference.

I went with the rev 8. I love them. I think the pro 80 might have it on sheer volume but when it comes to overall sound quality the Rev8 wins hands down. I have not heard the REV10 but can only imagine how insane they are. i went with the Rev8 because they were at the top of my budget and hang height was an issue for me.

Thanks for posting the pics. How are you finding them so far?? What are you powering them with? I hear they want to see a lot of power thrown at them. I'm hoping to see some pics of them with the swivel clamps on an Alpha Z as I'm concerned about the accessibility of getting at the quick release and how it will look?

Using a clarion apx480m bridged. 230w. They sound great. I do think this low end amp is holding them back some. Cleaner power is always better.amp upgrade is next on my list. But overall they are night and day over my MB quartz that were up there. I can assure you the will not disappoint.
