How to complete wiring for WS-420?

    2007 Tige 20v
    Factory boat speakers
    Pro-80 tower speakers
    Clarion CMD5
    Kicker ZX350-4 amp
    WS-420 brand new

I have read many of the posts and this is what I have so far. The new addition is only the WS-420 (so I can control tower and boat speakers). I am not sure where to hook up the WS-420 so that I can have volume control to both tower and boat speakers. I can guess but thought I would ask first so I can do it right the first time. I was planning on installing this weekend so any help would be appreciated.

You need to have the in-boat speakers on their own amp and off the head-unit in order to have volume control over the tower and in-boat speakers.

    Oh, the Pro80's need to be bridged on the zx350.4: 1 pro80 on "Amp-1" chnl-1 + and chnl-2 - and "AMP-2" chnl-3 + and chnl-4 -. This makes the 4 chnl amp run in 2 chnl mode.

Something often overlooked: when bridging a 4ch amp to run stereo, you usually need two sets of y-cords. Take the LEFT RCA from the stereo and put a y-cord on it and connect both y-cord sends into AMP1. Then similarly use the other y-cord to connect the right send from the stereo to both inputs of AMP2.

This will allow you to run a 4ch amp in stereo mode. Without the y-cords you are mixing left and right signals for mixed-mono for both sides of the tower. At a distance, mixed mono is often better sonically; just know I share the info so you can wire a bridged 4ch amp on true stereo if you want or need to...
