About to add a sub to the boat - Details

I am installing a sub and amp into the boat next week while I am off work.

I thought I would share what I am going to install. I bought a DC Audio 8, and a Fostgate Punch P500-1bd amp.

I know I know..... You are asking, why are you putting an 8 in your boat? I listen to a lot of rock, and this 8 has a really fast response, and the bass is nice and crisp. I was blown away when this 8 was demoed for me.

I am installing this sub facing forward under the helm with an custom enclosure that is ported in the storage compartment. The box is going to also provide some additional support for the sub since it weighs 17 pounds total!

Im doing the same thing, but with a 10". My amp is a Fosgate 550-2.

Thanks! With the stock wetsounds in the boat, and this sub it sounds really good. Now, time to scrape together the cash for tower speakers and an amp to push them.

I love the fact that the DC Audio subs are made not even 5 miles from where I live here in the Spanish Springs / Wingfield area. MADE IN RENO!
