Yes, ive heard them correctly tuned and properly powered.

Im working with a customer who has a pair of the 8" and a pair of the 6.5" on his master craft. They were installed last year by another shop, and now that he has compaired them ot what I have on display, he is ready for something that sounds good (his words). And yes, it was a side by side comparison because I had the boat in redoing the install.

Mike, you think 550 2 channel is enough to power two of these?
Im not out to blow anyone away.. I just want some tunes tying off in a cove somewhere with others.
I have the amp already.. and just bought the deck. The deck will run my regular front and rears and the amp will handle either these towers of an 8" sub. Very mild.

Ok, im checked into my Holiday Express, so im full of knowledge

Im guessing its the Kicker zx550.2. If so, it will do 205W rms x 2 @ 4 Ohm. So basically, 200 watts continuous power to a each speaker with a single pair wired one speaker p/chnl. This amp has the wattage to power a good set or two of HLCDs

            For the Bazooka:
8" HLCD = Dead on power
            6.5" HLCD = strong power
8" coax = strong power, needs careful tuning
6.5" coax = Will let the smoke out.
Bazooka doubles = dont go there

My advice, try and get a listen to what ever you can before buying. Let your ears tell you what you like.

i have a friend with a 24 foot sea ray, he just got back from Irac, he doesnt have the money for the exile's or the wet sounds, so he bought a pair of the 8 inch bazooka's, i installed them for him last week, i gave him an old kicker amp that is 125 watts a channel, for the price these bazooka's sound great, they have a very nice full sound.
