    WS 420 Microphone

Just got my WS420 install and everything works except the Microphone. When you press the button on Mic. the sound on the tower mutes, but volume is so low can barely hear it on the stern of the boat. I have a 4 channel amp the powers both the cabin and tower speakers. I had the mic. volume at max and tried turning all the equalizer knobs to their extreme to see if I could increase the volume level but to know avail. Any suggestions or could it just be a faulty unit.

Man don’t know what to tell you on that. I’ve got one. If you turn the volume up all the way on mine it is blasting. How does the tower speakers sound? Can you turn them up? Have you had the speakers loud and then press down one the mic and talked?

I tried it with the tower speaker at full volume as well as the Mic at full volume. No change to the outcome.

Call Wet sounds and ask for John Gyver. This is an incredibly busy time for all of us in the marine biz, so getting them on the phone might be quicker.

Just make sure the mic is in the right socket and fully seated. Whats the head-unit volume set to? Needs to around 3/4 volume.

give us a call at 877-938-7757 and someone can walk you through some things to try or work with you on getting a replacement mic as that might be all that is wrong.

Check your email as sometimes our responses go into spam folders. it would be coming from omar@wetsounds
