in boat volume of tower speakers

I have two hlcd bullet 770's on my tower and I can say theyre great speakers in that they get extremely loud with no distortion. my problem seems to be that to hear them while boarding(even with the in boat speakers faded out) the in boat volume of them is blasting.

i am new to hlcds so my question is...is this normal for hlcds and if i were wanting to improve it, should i be changing to another speaker (pro80) or would the ws420 help the cause with what i have somehow?

This can be normal with just about any speaker mounted on a tower. Placement and angle have a lot to do with their projection, but some speakers do a better job at not filtering down than others.

Try aiming them up just a little from where they are now.
