    Wiring Deck, ZXM RLC, Amps

I am hoping Chphtrl or Phil will chime in and help me out. I just wanted to double check on the wiring scheme of my deck, dual zone remote and amps.

Question #1 Can I or do I use the sub out?

Question #2 The only pre outs I use are Zone 2 from the deck head and disregard all other preouts???

Im not super familiar with that head-unit, but do not use an RCA output thats designated for "sub". Use one that designated for full-range and make sure its set to a full-range setting and not a sub setting if it is selectable. You should be good to go.

Correct, there is only one RCA input on the ZXM-RLC, so you will only use one left/right RCA set off the head-unit. The ZXM then divides that in to the two zones.

If your sub amp doesn't have it's own volume/level control and you still want control of that independently, look for the PAC PLC-1 level control and you could put that in along with your other controls. Luckily for me, the Kicker 700.5 has a level control for the sub so I will still have some control of the sub.

The Sony amp I'm using for the sub has a "level" control, "low boost" control and a "LPF control"
