Lighted Speaker ring

Has anyone made up a light ring for a sub?? This is for a 6.5",
BUT any down side to doing the sub? Anything to look out for?

I did a ring behind my sub. Just make sure you seal it well, otherwise no issues. If you really wanna split hairs, account for the extra tiny bit of volume when building the box, but I really doubt anybody is ever going to be able to tell the difference from that 1/2" ring increasing box volume.

Seal it well and you're fine.
