OK, maybe this is a dumb question and I should be embarrassed to ask, but how do you get a 4 ga wire hooked up to the amp? Should I solder ring terminals on the end, cause you sure can't just twist them with your fingers and slide them under the keeper. Also, getting the 1/0 cable in the distribution block. Maybe mine is not large enough or is there some huge bannana plug type lug you can solder on the end. I want to do this right the first time. Thanks in advance TO's.

Many distrobution blocks will come in a 0ga in/4ga out or a 4ga in/8ga out configuration. Should state on the packaging. Some higher end blocks will come with removable inserts that will allow for 0ga ro 4ga in and 4ga or 8ga out. Also, some cabling is marketed as over-sized and can be a biatch to fit into a battery lug or block.
What amp do you have? Some amps are designed to accept striped wire and some, like the older Clarion Marine, require a horseshoe terminal to be crimped/soldered on the wire end. Your amp should state up to was size cable or terminal it will accept.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

Thanks
I'll bet its the MTX that has a screw-down type anchor and needs a terminal on the wire ends. If this is the case, I would leave a little extra slack in the wires so when the MTX is pulled, you can cut off the terminals and go right to the Kicker.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

Laser - which amp are you having the problem with?
Harpoon takes 4AWG right into it. Just strip back the cable jacket to expose the copper conductor, insert and tighten down with the supplied wrench.
If this is on another amp, take a photo and post here so we can see whats going on and we'll guide you.

Thanks Brian,
No problems now, chp set me straight. After the wiring is done, comes the part I really don't understand and that is the tuning. By the way, we have done some driveway testing and the throttle box is fantastic, it really does make a difference in the sound. Wow, what projection in wake mode.
