Installing 6500.2's & 6500's

setup Kicker six pack 6500.2 and 1 pr 6500

6 speakers 3 per size, To connector the 3 speakers together they can be daisy chained together, BUT is it advisable to stripe and connect 3 speaker wires to the main 12ga coming from the amp and shrink tube them? If so should they be soldered? This way it would make it alot easier to implement cable pants and banana connectors on all the wires which go to each speaker can?

Soldering is normally not recommended on a boat, but in the application you describe, you can get away with it. In the end, I wonder if daisey-chaining might still be easier though? Let's see what CHP says and recommends for getting three from one...

I guess it would depend on in what order you mounted the components up on the tower, but I do fell that daisy-chaining is the best having any and all connections at the enclosures' binding posts.

Option 1: 14ga from mid-1 to mid-2, 14ga from mid-2 to horn. 12ga from horn to amp

Option 2: 14ga from mid-1 to horn, 14ga from mid-2 to horn, 12ga from horn to

A bit involved and time consuming, but much cleaner look with all the wires fished through the tower.

The only reason I ask is I want to use the cable pants, the chromed loom, and banada speaker plugs, and have it look Top notch. Finding the exact size of the cable pants might be an issue. I will probably incorporate small pieces of dual wall shrink tube as well.
Also rather than 2 pair (4 wires) running to 2 pods i would only have 1 pair
