I dunno if it was just me, but I'd strongly advise anyone installing a set of the clamps should chase them with a tap first. And also grease or use anti-sieze on the bolts. Being stainless, both the clamp and the bolts are soft. Add in some less than perfect Chinese tapping and I had three out of eight bolts (four clamps) start to seize while tightening. A quick chase of the clamps with a tap and all was good, though I wish I'd have done it right out of the box instead of while the clamps were hanging from wires out of the tower.

shawndoggy, just wanted you to know that we have taken feedback from guys like yourself and added an extra step to our production running a hand tap through after the machine threaded and polishing part. we also suggest anti seize as well as you mentioned.
The ICON 8 will be shipping in a couple weeks and the REV 410 in 30 days. Let me know if anyone has any questions and I'll post up some info.

good on ya tim. That should be a big help. I was a little surprised to find "crunchy" threads on such a nice piece. Love the speakers (Rev10s). Everything people say about them is true. They just sound fantastic in the boat and we find that we'll run faded to the tower while just chillin'. Never did that with our prior setup because the sound was inferior to our cabin speakers.
