    Specs:
Available in Dual 2 ohms or Dual 4 ohms versions.

Disclaimer: Info is from Wet Sounds Website

This would be perfect for powering with a single Syn Micro or running one or two off chnls 5 and 6 of the Syn6.

If I here any more, i'll update.

Looks like the next generation tower speakers are on their way.

I also hear that there are some new enhancements to the WS-420 are in the works. It sounds like it will make the EQ more flexible in its MP3 device integration.

I actually put the SXS components in my RZR S last October with the help of John(Bad05) and Dustin. Here is my write from the RZR forum(remember this is from an offroad forum). I will try to get a few cleaned up photos.

I have spent a few hours over the last few weekends putting in a stereo system that I am exceptionally proud of. All the components are Wet Sounds. Those of you in the boating world recognize Wet Sounds as the premier marine audio company hands down. I contacted Tim, the owner of WS, and asked when they were going to join the SxS community. After a few more conversations I purchased:
        2 front pods with 6 1/2" speakers
        2 rear pods with 6 1/2" speakers
1 10" sub with under dash enclosure
        1 WS 420 - Line driver/equalizer
2 Syn Micro 250 watt continuous amps

The instructions were right on. I tried as long as I could to not take the front clip off(even though it shows to in the instructions) but eventually did. This made the entire installation much easier and allowed for a much cleaner final product. The system is not a simple two wire install like some of the systems on the market. This is a crazy high quality, well thought out system. The pods are all molded to fit tight to the body plastics. I would be glad to show anyone the system in person as the pictures cannot do it justice. The volume and clarity are great! The mounting positions of the speakers provide great sound for the driver and passenger as well as project the sound out so you can easily provide the music for a big crowd(think comp at Dumont during the drags). Here are a few pictures.

How confident are you that this info is correct? My friend called Wetsounds yesterday because he was about to buy a WS-420 and told him to hold off because there was a new model coming out and WS told him that there are no plans for a new model because it was just redesigned less than a year ago. I can see if they don't want to leak info but do you think someone was just feeding him a sales pitch?

              Hey guys,

Here is a shot of the new Sea Hunter 40 foot demo boat. Team Wet Sounds Fishing team will be at some touny's this summer and events so keep up with us on facebook to check it out. We have a partnership with Sea Hunter on the OEM side so all their boats rock Wet Sounds!

If you follow any of the off shore fishing boats, guys are doing big, i mean BIG systems. A lot of times it may take a few hours to get off shore, so you want some tunes for the ride. This boat will do 70 so you can imagine the type of audio needed to compete with wind and engine noise. Plus a lot of guys uses these boats in FL to party too.

The Sea Hunter has 5 pairs of SW-650 inside with 3 SW-10FA subs and a pair of the new REV 8 tower speakers on the t top. With all SYN amps. This is also the BASE system minus the towers that Sea Hunter installs on these boats. (tower is an option)

We are showing the system like this and will be adding some tricks when we have time. The dash has an ipad flushed into the center, WS-420 eq and Clarion CMD6. It also has sat video with DVR so you can watch TV while out to shore or if you get sick of fishing.

As for the new products. Not sure where the new 420 rumor got started but there will NOT be a new version this season. We are always in the works with designs and some of the designs you see are after years of working and prototyping.

The new Revolution series tower speakers WILL be shipping in about 4 weeks. I will have a press release with more info soon. These are over 2 years in the making. They are Revolutionary....hence the name

Damn, just when I get my new MB8's and Pro 60's. Oh well, you can't always wait for the new thing -- otherwise you'd never buy anything.

Hay guys, sorry if I implied that something was right around the corner and about to ship. That was the reason I did not share the details of the conversation as I felt it was still in the R&D stage.

The two new speakers will be the REV 8 and REV 10. (8 inch and 10 inch) Yes you read that correct, 10 inch.

However, the 8 inch will be the size of our current pro 60 and the 10 inch in the size of the current pro 80. So you will get insane sound and volume in very small form factors considering the size of the drivers.

When I say Revolutionary, I mean it. We have spent 2 years designing and prototyping these. We have been very busy. When building everything from scratch and not using anything off the shelf it takes a ton of time but the end result is something that must be heard. We have developed new cone materials for the mid bass which we have added a layer of Kevlar to our EFG epoxy fiberglass cone material to create a stiffer cone, new surround material, new motor structure, new compression drivers, new crossovers, as well as two types of clamps. fixed and swivel. as well as the X mount cast tower versions. So there will be endless fitment options.

We were able to take all of our knowledge we have had designing and building HLCD tower speakers over the years and build a speaker that provides amazing volume but with the cleanest sound quality you have heard from an HLCD. We spent a lot of time examining the human auditory system and the way that certain frequencies affect your ears. We took this and designed the speaker around this so that it can provide large amounts of output and volume but not hurt your ears. So there is not the tinny or ringing or harsh sound usually associated with high volumes. We literally designed the speaker so that these frequencies are toned down in a way that you can crank the speakers up and they are so loud you cant beleive it but not rip your head off painful. Also by designing the speaker this way, you get a full and balanced sound quality. The other ways to tone down a compression driver normally used are by adding resistance. This just lowers the output. So then you lose volume. You will see some crossovers with switches. This is usually one wide open and switched over to -3db by adding resistance and toning the horn down. I feel that if you design the speaker to sound the way you want, you shouldn’t have to use a switch to tone it down. So with these you get the volume you want out of a HLCD but the sound quality never seen before in any HLCD.

I could go on for days. But in the end, I will let the product speak for itself. Wickedcummins, I promise you it is worth the wait. The REV 8 will be shipping the beginning of May so 3 to 4 weeks out. The REV 10 will be middle to the end of May so a few weeks later.

Shoot me an email to twhite@wetsounds.com when it gets close, or follow our facebook page. I will be adding info there

As soon as I have more to share I will. I will add more details and pictures when I can
