    Removing blown speakers

Hey guys. I'm new to the site and in need of some help. Both front speakers in my 2004 21i are blown and i cant figure out how to remove them. Anyone care to share some insight as to how to get them out?

Im guessing those were factory installed speakers, if so Tige would have been using Kicker then. Insert a few finger inside the speaker grill openings and pull firmly, should pop right off. The speakers mounting screws are located under the speaker grill.

I would have guessed clarion speaker....but either way it's the same. pop the grill off and then remove the 4 screws

If by chance they are Clarions with a white enclosed grill, there is a notch at the bottom between the grill and speaker. Insert a medium flatblade screwdriver and pop the grill off. This will expose the four mounting screws.

If they are the Clarions, I bet that the cones are deteriorated. If so, I would plan to just replace all the in-boats. This was common with that generation white clarions.
