    Pair of Pro80s and pair of Pro60s driven by mono amp?

    Question for you stereo guys. There is a guy selling a pair of Pro80s and a pair of Pro60s with a Kenwood KAC-9104D mono amp that he claims drove all four speakers?

    I don't see how this would have worked at all as it's frequency response is 5 to 200hz. There is no way this worked. He had to be running these off something else. If he tried this what impact might it have had on the speakers? Though I don't see that he would have run them off of this.

    And aside from all that. What amp(s) would you recommend for driving said speakers?

    Quick look at the amp, and I dont see that it's a full-range, meaning it's only designed for subs. So, I'd so no, he wasn't.

    Ideal amp anyway would be the Syn6.

        up to 712? you are rapidly becoming a PW.

        He tossed it in. I'm thinking I'll probably sell the pair of 60's and the amp to buy an amp for the 80s. I don't really need that much up there and most of what I've read claims that a pair of 80s is more than enough.

          Do the 60's have the hardware to mount on the AlphaZ tower? I might be interested, send me a PM.

            They just have the standard mounts that they ship with. Still need to talk to the boss and see what her thoughts are. I'll let you know.

              Man I hope he was not running them off that amp. Chptril is right, that is a sub ONLY amp. So no highs would come out of the speaker. And he would be playing sub bass to them which could damage them.

              So make sure they are not damaged. And play full freq. You can contact us for details on what to look for. Or you can always ship them to us so we can look them over for you.

              Ewok. we can convert them to a 60X or send you a kit to convert them to an X for the Alpha Z tower. So if you do in fact buy them, changing them to the direct mount is not hard to do
