half din EQ in a one din space?

So during my stereo install (I haven't posted pictures yet because I want it totally finished and clean before I do) I completely removed the JVC head unit that came with the boat stock and I put an Arc Audio KEQ7 EQ in it's place (sort of wishing I got the WS420 mainly for hte microphone feature)(iPhone is my headunit now). I really like the marine spring loaded cover that was over the head unit and I would like to somehow fix the eq where the JVC was. Anyone have a link for a nifty adaptor to mount the EQ in a full din space?

You'll all get pics soon enough, just be patient young padawons...
    Waiting for another good one!

The easiest way to do a .5 in a full DIN hole is to get a piece of 1/8 x 12" ABS plastic and make a new bezel that fits over the full DIN hole with a .5 slot in the middle. I think with a bit more fab time, you could do the same and have it fit within the waterproof cover.

That's actually what I'm working on now. It's coming along okay, but I'm always skeptical of my own work. All my friends saw my amp rack temp. mounted while we still have a few more weeks left in the season and they all say "that looks great, leave it like that"
haha, I'm just not happy with it, particularly since it's only a temp fix until I can fix mounting blocks to the hull and find factory carpet.
