Locker in front of the helm?

    '99 21V here
Is that 'sealed' locker in front of the helm and good place to mount my amps, and battery for my stereo? Too small? too hot? I think it's a waste of time to put anything in there that needs to come in and out all the time, and would like to keep the area behind the observers seat available.

Finally, if so,can I just drill a hole through the little wall from the bow into that locker? and from the helm into that locker?
    Waiting for another good one!

My amp from the factory was inside that space, but the humidity is terrible in there, with little way to air it out. I move my amps to the same wall, just out in the open and have had no more corrosion problems.

I have just mounted my amps in port side console. I was considering using one of these, or possibly a butterfly vent. Good idea or not...anyone?

I have my amps installed in that locker behind the front seats. Mine stays dry, unless I have a wave go over the front. Either way, after boating, I prop mine open to ventilate.

My heater, amps, and subwoofer are all in that space.
