what 6.5s do you use or like instead of the polks
I dont dislike the polks, it's just they, especially the DB's, can be had for cheaper then I can get them wholesale I primarily roll with the Kicker KM series or the Wet Sounds. Try to get a listen to any that you can, but having good clean power to any speaker is a must.

With the constant being the 420 watts, it's a tough call, but two 10's is more surface area then a single 12". I can say that a pair of Kicker KM10's in a 1.8 cu/ft sealed box on the zxm700.5 do pound pretty good.

Which Kicker? The KM and SKM is a single 4 Ohm voice coil sub and the CompVr comes in both a 2 Ohm dual voice coil and 4 Ohm dual voice coil configs. To get 420 watts out of the zx700.5, you will need to go with either two KM's or a single CompVr104 (the dual 4 ohm wired in parallel = 2 ohm nets the 420 watts)
