Pro 80X on Alpha Z Tower

Do I need to buy an adapter for these speakers to fit on the Alpha Z tower? The bolt holes match up, but then I screw the bolts all to way in the speaker is still really lose from the tower. I have seem Tim's pics from the WetSounds boat and they top of the speaker looks a litte different than mine.
    Thanks, David

Those collars are Tige specific and not made by Wet Sounds From what I understand, and not available separately. Are you Pro80's the Pro80X or are the standard Pro80 that you are trying to mount on the AlphaZ instead of using clamps?

It would be worth a call to Wet Sounds and talk to John Gyver. The standard Pro80's can be converted to X's with a kit, but it depends on their production date.

That pic with the LED's is Tim's WetSounds demo boat. Hydrotunes was the install company. Pretty sure that Hydrotunes did all the accent LED work.

I did the same thing with a set of Pro60, I got the conversion kit to make them fit the Alpha Z, When i went to put them on i too noticed they werent as tight as i would like, I took the bolts out, I put a lock washer inbetween the speaker mount and the tower, also Definitely use Lock-Tite, and I tightened them back and they are still on very solid.

I added a set of nylon spacers and that fixed the problem. Next issue, where the heck do the wires for the speakers go once they leave the tower? I am trying to find them, but with no luck. Does anyone know the color that these wires are, and where does Tige wire them to?

Simply put, if the boat didnt come with the tower-o-power option, then there will not be an amp for the wires to be connected to. Are the wires even passed through the deck? I know on the Bu's with the Illusion tower, the wires are tucked up in the tower when there are no tower speakers installed at the factory. If Tige does pass them through the deck at the factory, then I would look up under the gunwall below where the tower bolts up. The wire could be tied up there in a bundle. My gut says they are just plain old 2-conductor speaker wire, 1 pair for each speaker, on each side.

your speaker wire is going to tucked up in the tower. Fish it out and drop it down through the base of the tower then you will most likely have to add speaker wire to make it reach the amps. tower speaker wire red and black in the ones I have done. The tower is wired for four speakers all the wire will be comming out of the tower on the port side so make sure you have the right 2 sets of wires if you only hooking up 2 speakers.
