Custom Sub Install in Kick panel

    Mike, Phil, Anyone-

When you guys are building your custom ported boxes under the kick panel, are you cutting out the piece of wood that is there, redesigning a box attached to a new piece of carpeted wood and placing it back in there or are you building the box in that tiny space behind the panel. I am trying to design a ported box for back there, but I am having issues wrapping my mind around how it is possible to fit those larger wood pieces back there. Thanks again for the help!

It can be a tight fit on most boats with a sealed enclosure, but I have a feeling a proper sized ported will be too large to get through the access. Here is a thread showing Dan's sub install was done. http://www.tigeowners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8278

Thanks Mike! If you were running a 12" JL Audio W3 to that area, would you run a sealed or ported enclosure? Sealed would be far easier due to the ability to use the sealed enclosure I already have back there, but I thought I would ask anyway. I have an audiobahn flame q there right now, but I am trying to cut one more amp out of the system and go with just 2 amps, so I am switching it out with a JL Audio W3.
