Audio output signal bad 2018 RZX2

    Hi all,
The output for my tower speakers stopped working. Does anyone know if there is a way to repair this or does it require the entire touchscreen head unit to be replaced? Given the price point I may look into a stand alone head unit. Has anyone done this before?

[QUOTE][Year, make, and model of boat and head unit would be a good start if you want advice/QUOTE]

2018 RZX2 as stated in his profile next to the post, under his username as well as its the tiles of his thread.

The media unit on a 2018 would be the Murphy ICE black box.

Was this determined by putting a volt meter on the tower zone outputs at the ICE box and there is no voltage at any volume level when compared to the voltage of the other three zones? Did you swap a cabin zone RCAs with the tower zone RCA at the box as a test?

    Or,

Have the tower speakers just stopped working and the assumption is, its the ICE box

Hi chpthril thank you for your response, somehow I missed your notification. First thank you for mentioning the ICE box. I have pretty thoroughly looked under the dash of my 2018 RZX2 and I cannot locate it.

I assume I can follow the RCA’s to their end point to locate It is not easy getting your head up in that space. Do you have any knowledge on where they are typically located?

In terms of tests I have a small speaker test device that supplies voltage to the speakers. I have tested all speakers on my wet sound system and they all function.

that said other functions like fade and balance also do not work. I will track down this additional unit and run some tests. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
