    Wetsounds Static

Okay... this one is a bit strange. We have a 2018 Tige Z1 with Tige Clear touch screen and wet sounds amps (2 of them) and two Rev 8's on the tower. Everything works great until we have been running for about an hour - then static starts to creep in and an audible buzz comes from all the speakers on the system including the boat speakers and the tower speakers. This is only after an hour or so on the water with everything working great up till that time. The only thing I can think of is the Amps are getting hot but when I felt them they do not feel warm. Any ideas? Anyone?

Check with a Tige dealer, as there is a service bulletin regarding unwanted noise. Good place to start.

How recent is that service bulletin? Just curious... PS: Thanks for the note

I called dealer - hopefully they will know what you are talking about.

Pretty sure you fell into that range for sure. There was a component in those DSPs that introduced interference when they got hot.....IIRC it was the capacitors. If at all possible and if its warranty item see if they will switch you out to HTX instead of DSPs.

I have the exact same problem. 18 R23. I called the dealer today and they said they will probably have to replace the amps. They said they just did it to an 18 RZX.

18-R23, same problem but I installed them aftermarket My issue is just with the bow speakers so thought it may be a bad RCA but haven't dug into yet.

Being thats a dedicated left and right chnl, it would be rare, but not impossible for both chnls to to have an issue. Swap your FRONT RCA with the REAR and see if the problem moves or stays.

I just experienced same issue with my 2017 Z1. After an hour or so, the amps start to push background static and start to whine. Funny it seems to come from tower and deck speakers, which are different amps. Could it be the ICE making the noise?

With speakers powered by difference experiencing the same issue, does point upstream to to something like the ICE box or system voltage. However, there was a technical service bulletin for the 2017 amps producing some unwanted noise after getting warmed up.
