Audio Controls (skipping / rewind / fast forward)

Need help figuring out how to use audio controls on my 2014 RZ2. I am unable to use the touch screen or the transom remote to skip songs, rewind / fast forward. I can only control the volume when I'm connected vs bluetooth or using audio jack on dashboard. I thought I read somewhere if you connect your phone via the USB port by stereo in glovebox you can control all functions? When I connect via USB, it says reading iPod followed by another prompt, but nothing happens. Is there a way to control other functions besides audio? Is USB port bad? Fixes?

You can only change volume via Bluetooth or aux. USB will rewind or skip with volume control. You may have a bad USB plug or possibly head unit. I too thought I should have full control over Bluetooth but that is not the case.
