I am just wrapping up my install with much help from members on here especially Chpthril. He suggested putting 2 10" subs on the bulkhead wall under the drivers dash. After talking to Phil from Kicker he said I would need 2 cf of box although going up to 3 cf would be even better. Well after looking at the door I would have to squeeze it thru, it became obvious that I would have to do a lot of work with cardboard templates to figure out the shape and size. After some trial and error I came up with what I wanted to use and cut all the wood (3/4 Birch plywood). I then pre drilled all the screw holes and completely dry assembled it to make sure it fit together right.. I then tore it down and figured out how much of it could be assembled prior to squeezing it in the hole. I glued and screwed that portion and put it in the hole. After that, and here comes the hard part, I finished the assembly in the compartment. I built a 5 sided box and used the boats bulkhead wall as the sixth side. Once the 2 10” cutouts were made in the bulkhead I was able to reach inside the box to finish screwing it together and seal all the seams. I originally painted all the box parts with truck bed paint, but will probably go ahead and add carpet to all the exterior areas I can. It was a major pain, but I ended up with 2.75 cf in the end. I will try and get some pictures posted of the finished product asap.
Sweet man... I will probably make this into another project since the sub I bought will work okay without an enclosure... I look forward to the pics though and I know it will make my life 10 times easier to do it when I cross that bridge.

Well let me know if you come out here for any other reason...I'll definitely owe you a boat ride to a couple bars or something if you're passing thru.... I'm going to make the measurements tomorrow so we can get the ball rolling. I have all of the components except for one amp.. The 450 W Kicker ZX... and the wiring of course... I dunno what is up with the amp because the ebay-er I bought it from has yet to send me a e-mail, shipping link, or anything for that matter... I hope I don't have to follow up too much on it becuase I have never had a problem before.. hope PayPal has my back. Anyway... I will get everything to you tomorrow! Summer is around the corner!

I measured the length and it appears that I will need approx. 16 feet to make it from the battery to the amp area... I added and extra foot but if you think I should get more than you're the boss.. I would like to get everything through you so just send me a quote and the best way to take car of business. Thanks!

I am thinking about building a box for my two 10 inch subs, but I was thinking about going about it a little differently. My plan was to build the box with the front (speaker side) larger than the rest. I would then cut out a square hole in the bulkhead large enough to fit the back part of the box into, and bolt the front side of the box (which is now overlapping the bulk head) to the bulk head. Any thoughs on this technique?
