    flush mounting some 6 1/2s in a pre2100wt

So i am redoing the sound system on my 97 pre2100wt. i have a loud liquid tower setup with 4 6x9 kickers in it. and i also want to mount a pair of 6 1/2 speakers near the driver seat and flagger seat so we can hear the music while driving. does anyone know the best location on my boat to mount them, im having trouble finding a good spot to mount them where there out of the way of getting banged or a lot of water on them. Also what kind of amp would you guys recomend running for my speaker set up.

If you wanted to post up some pics of the interior, I could make some recommendations as to where I would try first. Maybe some one with era Tige can chime in with their speaker location. It is an open bow, correct?

As far as amps and speakers, go, are you needing an amp recommendation for just the new interiors that you are going to install, or for the tower setup as well?

What kind of budget were you looking at and what kinda of system did you have in mind as far as performance and volume? I would say, go with at least 2 pair of cabin speakers, one pair in bow and one in the main cabin (if closed bow, both in main cabin ).

    Kicker KM6000 - 6.0 mid-bass with .5 tweeter and white grill. 50 watts rms/150 peak

    Kicker KM6200 - 6.0 mid-bass with .75 tweeter ans silver grill. 65 watts rms/195 peak

    Kicker KM6250.2 - 6.0 mid-bass woofer with 1.0 tweeter separate. 75 watts rms/225 peak.

All three above options could be powered with the zxm350.4 - 60W's rms x 4(or zxm700.5 if you wanted to add a sub). If you really wanted to drive the KM6250.2's, go with the zx650.4 - 120W's rms x 4.

Wet Sounds SS-65's 6.5" coaxial. 60 watts rms/120 peak. Comes in blk cone/silver grill or closed white grill. Driven by a Syn Micro - 62 watts rms to each.

Wet Sounds XS-650 6.5" coaxial. 100 watts rms/200 peak. Comes in silver grill/silver cone, silver grill/blk cone, and closed white grill. Wet Sounds Syn4 to power them - 125 watts rms x 4. Could also add a sub to the Syn4. With the 2 pair of mids on chnls 1 and 2, they would receive 100 watts rms each and that would leave chnl 3/4 to power a sub with 400 watts rms @ 4Ohm.
