    Some new tower sound

hey fellas...Gonna put some tower speakers up this winter on the tige...probably some lights too. I had the Roswell spin vamps on the last boat I sold and they were pretty good...expensive though...could use some opinions on a good set of towers for a reasonable price and some lights too. Found a pretty good deal on ebay for a combo light and speaker bar...I think they were kickers.

      Never heard of "Blunt" speakers.

If you go with a used setup, we can always upgrade the speakers with a new set of Kickers or Wet Sounds. Just keep in mind that you would want to really pour the coals to them to get the volume out of them.

For a great setup that really performs well and wont break the bank, you gotta check out the Kicker KTM6 tower speakers and the Kicker ZX450.2 amp. Next would be the new SST-65's or XST-650's from Wet Sounds. Any of these setups could probably roll with a small light bar in the middle. Or step up to a set of Pro60's and then there would be plenty of room for a decent size light bar.

Check back with me in a week or so, I may have something new to share

The set up was by "Blunt"...sorry...they have 4 6.5" polk audio DB651 s and 4 55 watt lights. Looks pretty good...I still have a 1200 watt marine boss amp (practically new) from my old boat I was going to use (any thoughts). I have the upgraded stereo in my boat already (with only 60hrs on the boat and I bought it off an older gentleman its still like NEW). I was also looking at some Tantrum Czars??...they have a 6.5 Rockford Fosgate with a seperate tweeter on the side. I was thinking about 4 of these...maybe just 2 if they are good...I have been looking at the kickers and I just went back through all the old stereo threads and I see a lot of guys say they are good bang for the buck...man are they ugly!!

No biggie, "Blunt" still doesnt ring a bell, i'll do some googling as I am curious.

Polk makes some decent car audio speakers.......but the DB's are just that, a car audio speaker. For the price, you cant beat the DB's for an in-boat speaker (Polk is absolutely flooding the market with the prices i've seen lately), but for a tower setup, you really gotta push them hard to get the volume out of them. The DB's are like 60 watts rms/160 peak, or something close. I would recommend at least 120+ watts RMS to each. I got nothing really good to say about R/F's

Well, here's something new from Kicker - http://www.tigeowners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11225
