Why, on this and every other boating site, do I have to endure the poster's right wing and left wing drivel in order to get to the actual content? Poster's signatures and handles include stupid and hateful statements regarding the current and past administrations that have nothing whatsoever to do with the topic of this website. This is a private website, so "1st Amendment freedom of speech" is not applicable. How about limiting the content of the site to boating and not politics? Leave the political content to the "fair and balanced" folks at Fox News.

I believe this to actually be a public forum! Any one can create an account and begin posting, there's no membership fee and no board of directors screening apps, no initiation process, and no one needs a "sponsor" to join. I'm interested to here what the Admin has to say on this matter.

My political affiliation is my own business and I do not see any reason to try and preach to Limbaugh/Beck/Fox News jihadis on issues they hold true to their hearts. Kind of like arguing with a true believer that G_d does not exist. A waste of breath.

I will note that the last and current administrations have and will generate a national debt that our children's great great grandchildren may never pay off and now they want to get the government into the insurance business. Might as well open government owned casinos. I am not a huge fan of using my tax dollars to bail out private industry to enrich their shareholders, no matter who signs the legislation.

Well, I am sure you boys have more important things to do than blind me with your brilliant political discourse. Have an excellent day, I have some illegal immigrants to sign up to vote....................

Maybe we enjoy talking about whatever we want to our brothers and sisters that are apart of this community. Actually, I had to pay an initiation fee, pay monthly dues, was heavily recruited, went before the membership committee and was hazed after joining.

You can turn off signatures in your User Control Panel,

Click here, http://www.tigeowners.com/forum/prof...do=editoptions, scroll down to "Thread Display Options" and uncheck "Show Signatures".

However, if you don't like a political thread its as simple as not clicking on it.
