Anyone ever buy anything from medford lakes electronics?

They have a pretty good price on a Garmin that I was thinking about getting for my wife (for her birthday), but I'm not sure if the price is too good to be real.

I've heard that there is a lot of bait and switch with some of these electronics retailers, so thought I would see if anyone had any experience with them.

Never, but that doesn't mean anything.

My advice would be use your credit card. Then you have some recourse if it's not as described. Just dispute it with your card company if they try the bait and switch.

Worse case scenario, they steal your CC number and run up some charges. In that event your out a measley $50 after you dispute it.

Best case scenario, you get a heck of a deal!

I ended up buying one off of eBay, it came with a 1 year Garmin warranty, and the V10 maps (which just came out 2 weeks ago). It's not quite as nice as the one I was thinking about buying, but I think she'll like it.
