Everybody had been searched head to toe. They went through extensive background checks, ran through the system by worldwide intelligence agencies, as well as went through metal detectors. Did I forget to mention they had been searched head to toe. This was ironically one of the most secure rooms in the world at that point in time. The guys did their job and did it well. There was no REAL threat to the president, besides maybe a black eye and a bruised ego.... therefore no lethal force was used. They quickly assessed the situation and decided to just take him down instead of using lethal force.... not to mention the proximity of bystanders and other foreign dignitaries. If it had been, the media would be dragging us through the mud right now for being trigger happy. Actually if you'll watch the video closely, Bush actually waves off the secret service.

I couldn't agree more! I thought for sure that he would be gunned down immediately! I'm not a fan of W's at all but he's our President and needs to be protected!
