It is a few years old, but it rocks, so I have not felt the need to upgrade it.

I love the BP towers and how much bass they put out. I have an older pair of Infinity's that each have dual powered 6.5" that put out more bass then most fronts.

On second thought, when's the Tigeowner's "Movie Night?"

Seriously though, it looks nice. I wish I was in a position to do that. We just got a new 1080 Samsung and the Blu-Ray on it just rocks! They are amazing.
For me, this will just about pay for itself. It easily costs me $100+ every time we go to the movies. Now it is hard to, cuz its a sub par experience. I spent a lot for my sound system, but it was over 10 years ago, and these speakers are amazing. I have upgraded my receiver every couple of years, but have not found the need to upgrade the speakers. When you have a matched, hi quality sound system, calibrated perfectly, it effects your experience even more than the picture. WANTED last night, was amazing. There was the part where the dude hits his head on the bridge, with the projector and sound, I SWEAR I felt it hit my head. That and the black friday deals on amazon for bd discs, have been fun.

Some BDs were down to like $8, my collection is growing.

Y, they rock. Each front speaker has a 15" sub on the bottom, and is 130 lbs.

I know, I'm jealous of them. I almost got a set but some guy in a Porsche beat me to them at a divorce sale.

y, and if you know me, you would know how unusual it is for me to keep them that long. I normally upgrade my electronic stuff within a year or two. I never keep stuff like this that long, but I have had these for over 10 years, I think I got them in 98. They were way ahead of their time then, and still amazing. The bass is not only powerful, but perfect. Most bass systems distract you, these make you forget its a sub. You just think the helicopter is really landing, or whatever. I actually have to be careful what gets hung on the wall in this room. My wife just put up a new clock, that is getting rattled, going to have to remove it.

I haven't gone out to a movie in years......
The lines, no drinks, no fire in the fire place, have to put up
With the cheering as people fell off the back of the Titanic,
                I'm Done with all that.......
The sound is always just right and having hot food like cookies

The only thing left to invent is a smell tray. It would rotate and set off new scents
of gun powder smells, forest, car, sweat, they could do it, I know
they will. Then I guess we will have to attach the pain electrodes too.

We already have that, but it only has one setting, and my wife doesn't like it much.

The screen is manual, I have six kids, remember? I just POINT. lol.

I told my wife to get me a customizable color screen programmable touch screen remote, we will see. The denon came with a nice universal, that I have programmed for all, which is nice.

Harmony's are great. It's the one remote I setup for my mom that she can use and turn everything on and off with ease.

ragboy, with that many people, you might think about projecting on the side of your house. If you get one of those FM transmitters that attach to an ipod and plug it into your stereo headphone jack, you can transmit to all those cars in your driveway. It'll be just like a drive-in movie.

Hey, you said you liked to geek out on this stuff...I'm just arming you with ideas
