I'm gettin' better at this paint thing. Late model #2. This is one I'm building for a friend. Too bad for me it looks better than mine. I'm pretty happy with it. Hopefully he will be too. It aint perfect but, it aint too bad.

Tacos anyone?
Well I'm the first of the fellas to their new truggy dialed in and it was dialed in. Screamin'. That is until I cartwheeled it into a fire pit and jacked the rear end off a rock. Taco'ed. It looks as though the chassis brace bolt fell out some time before and the rear drive shaft took the brunt of the impact. Easy fix for the most part but, I'm hoping the chassis will bend back close to straight. You'll get your chance, smart guy.

Got it all back together last night and it's back, ready to rip. Can't even tell the chassis was ever bent. Dead nuts straight. I think that if the chassis brace bolt hadn't fallen out, nothing would had ever happened. Oh well, live and learn. Can't wait to get it back out there. This thing is a blast. Very impressed with the handling and overall performance. You'll get your chance, smart guy.

If you saw my new thread on web site help you'll know I sold a few photos. Whoohoo! It's just some of the local RC guys but, they seem to be pretty stoked. So am I as this was my first time shooting RC with this particular lense and my first time shooting at our new track. Here's a few.Attached Files- DSC_0168.jpg (65.3 KB, 69 views)

Thanks fellas. I had a good time doin' it. I'm looking forward to the next race now that I know what works and what doesn't. It just worked out that I wasn't racing on this day so I thought I'd screw around with the camera. I sold out of cd's that I burned of this Round 1 action inside of an hour last night down at the hobby shop.
The upside down shot was the result of a nasty hole at the end of the straight. There is an oval track that is shared with the off road track. You run it opposite direction and enter it in turn 2, through 1 and all the way down to 4 and then 3. That shot is in 4 with a full head of steam with a really nice 3.3 Revo. You'll get your chance, smart guy.

Had my first official race on Sunday. Wouldn't you know it, I won my very first heat race ever. I talked the event organizer into running a Troval class. What's Troval? Truggy-Oval. I took down both local hobby shop owners and one of the Expert Truggy class drivers. My day went south from there with a second, third and a fourth but hey, I got a win. You'll get your chance, smart guy.

OK, now there's no excuse for not going with a 2.4Ghz radio. $79 from Tower Hobbies and what's better is their receivers are only $16 !!!! Maybe that will put some pressure on the other radio companies to lower their 2.4Ghz receiver prices, which are waaay over priced at typically $80 or so.
