Success! Had my buddy with the giant arsenal of cars over the other day. He brought his 3 GT2s along. One is stock and the other two are evil fast with OS TZ12's in them. Anyways, I decided to race his stock GT with my Rusty and, much to my surprise, he needed to put some new tires on just to keep up with the little old brushed Rusty. Once he did that we actually had some great battles. When I started building this old time Rusty (one of the first RTRs), all I wanted to do was hang with a stock GT2. Mission accomplished.
'01 Traxxas Rustler w/ Team Orion 10x1 SV2, Novak Super Rooster, Team Orion 3300 SD 6 cell, RPM arms, bearing carriers, caster blocks and rear shock tower, VXL tranny, 86t spur, 14t pinion, Futaba 3010 servo.
Bought a Traxxas eRevo last fall after I took my 2 boys to the Borg Warner Off Road Championships in Crandon, WI. They love making jumps for it. I use two 7 cell 4200 NiMh batteries to get up to 35/40mph. They love it when it flips!
I put some after market a-arms on the rear and I am having issues with the stiffness of the shocks (no rebound) and the camber of the rear wheels. I have tried everything to loosen it up.

I don't know much about the Revo's except that they are BadAzz. Do they make a sway bar kit for it? I just put a one in my 4-tec because it would not turn. It is now a drifting machine and I'll need to dial some loose out of it. At least I know I can go too far and come come back. How are you set up on your shocks and springs?
Other than the after market A arms everything else is stock. I push down on the rear of the car and there is no rebound. It just sits at the same level I left it. I am thinking of replacing the oil in the shocks and tearing the rear apart again thinking I might have over tightened something.

Yeah, something ain't right. Rockers too tight maybe? You do have springs on them shocks don't you? Just checking. Maybe bent shock shafts? There's really no reason for them not to rebound unless something is jammed up.
Yeah I have springs on the shocks. The reason I have after market A arms is I hit a 2x10 at full speed and shattered one of them. Maybe the damage was more than I thought. I will take it apart after I get back from vacation.

Well, looks like I got me another new ride. For free! Again! I guess it pays to have friends with $$$. These things are on close out for $199.00. My buddy just couldn't help himself, I guess, and picked up three of them so that me and two other of our friends could go out and all race truggies. They are not quite the caliber of the truggies he runs but, for 2 Bills RTR, what do you want? These were originally $370 so it is quite the deal. If anyone wants a nice little truggy, get 'em while they're hot.
