I am so stoked because the season is right around the corner here in Oregon. My wife and I bought season passes at Mt Hood Meadows plus we have two trips planned for Mt Bachelor. We are also in the process of buying new upgraded Burton boards and bindings for the new season. Bring on the snow baby.

We didn't get passes this year, I'm thinking that we will only go a few times this year since it's so freakin expensive now. I figured out that for us to go up for just one day is about $300 with lift tickets, rental for my daughter and gas to get there. Last year we had season passes that came with my Chevy truck so that was pretty nice.

Hopefully I'll be spending some time at Northstar this year. Got a buddy selling condos for the new Ritz Carlton there and he says he can hook me up. Otherwise, I'll be relying on test drives of new cars and radio give-aways and what not around town to get free tickets. There's always the back country I suppose. You'll get your chance, smart guy.

We picked up our season passes for $444 each. It was such a good deal we couldn't pass it up. All we need to do is go 8 times to pay for itself. We plan on doing a fair amount of boondocking in the parking lot with our camper over the weekends and during Christmas break. It works out great because we come off the mountain for lunch and drinks which is a lot cheaper than eating in the bar.Formertigeowners.com

I'm looking forward to the snow season but I'm not ready to put the boat away either....I'll be keeping it out as long as possible until it looks to drop down to freezing temps! I spent the weekend in SD hunting and had that nice storm the day we landed. That was enough to get me ready for the snow season!

I found a great way for my family and I to ski for free. Since I have a week off at a time I volunteered at one of the local mountains. I choose between greeting people, taking people on tours or helping kids learn to ski. I do this for 1-3 hours a day and the rest of the day I ski. I ski that day for free and they give me a free pass to use whenever and anyone can use it. If I help the kids they give me 2 free passess. They also give me a Helly Hanson suit and 12 dollars a day for food. The family and I will never pay for a lift ticket and I will never pay for food. I work whenever I want and as much as I want. Guess when the wife is at work and kids at school I will have to go skiing. This of course will have to be fit in around playing hockey of course.
