I'll check into that. Thanks for the heads up! If so, I'm all over it.

Got another interesting statement today from HSBC bank of Las Vegas. It was for a revolving account with Hewlett Packard. It said that they denied my application for a credit account based on information in my credit report. Of course, I have not applied for any account with them.

Full review of my Experian credit report shows the credit score to still be in terrific shape, for now. The only inquiry into my credit report was one I did apply for in January and then there was a Dell Financial Services inquiry from October 16. The others have not shown up yet, although I am sure they will. The freeze is on, and I feel pretty fortunate that I did not take a beating...that I know of...yet....

It does seem odd that I got a denial of an account even though I have very good credit. They tell me that they denied the applicant because it was submitted online and required them to call with more information and they never called back. The phone number they submitted was a false number. Online I found that the prefix does not exist, but they used a Northern Utah area code. The letter today did have legitimate numbers to Experian and to their bank.

I assume that their plan was to order something and then change the address before it shipped?
        Be excellent to one another.
