Honestly I truly think OU should have dropped to 5 as Texas should have taken over the #4 spot. What I don't see, is how FL. jumped in the AP and Harris. That's ridiculous.... Georgia was obviously overrated as I've been saying since day 1. So why reward someone so drastically for a mediocre win. The fact remains that Georgia had only faced two top level teams (LSU is not top level this year) and both times they got smoked. Fl whipping up on them only serves to drive that point home.
Common sense If #5 beats #8, they shouldn't move up. YOUR EXPECTED TO WIN THAT GAME. But the polls have never employed common sense now have they?Last edited by Tanner; 11-02-2008, 11:07 PM.Being a major OU fan and a staunch conservative.... I think OU deserves to be right behind Texas. And Oklahoma State definitely gets ranked above USC. Florida deserves to be penalized for losing to an unranked team, just like USC. I don't get how Ohio State is even in the top 15, or Missouri for that matter.Cursed by a fortune cookie: "Your principles mean more to you than any money or success."

If Tech drops a game....the Big 12 had better hope the Sooners and Texas are left standing amongst the one loss teams. Ok state and Tech just don't have the media hype or back room power to go up against a FL. and lobby their way in. Depending on how the final BCS rankings shake out in terms of strength of schedule... it is possible that the Big 12 schools could jump a FL. for the BCS bid. I think the only way it will happen is strength of schedule though, as the media is in love with FL (listen to Herby if you don't believe me). The big 12's best bet here is a 3 way tie in the south... that way 3 of the schools have 1 loss which keeps them all in the top 10.Being a major OU fan and a staunch conservative.... It would depend on who Tech loses to. If they lose to OK State, then it's a real mess. If they lose to OU, then OU Texas is in. We'll know more next week. OK State is for real and they might just be able to knock off Tech.Cursed by a fortune cookie: "Your principles mean more to you than any money or success."

But they dropped 2 spots as well...Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity. Albert Einstein
