That's the beauty of college football, I think that the passion that the fans have for their teams, whoever they may be, is more than that of most other sports. The good news is that this will all play out. My prediction (hope) for my team is that we make a BCS game (since Ohio State's loss to Penn St., we are practically out of the NC game). If it ends up being in the Rose Bowl (Oregon State still has to lose another game), I would hope that it is an undefeated Penn State team, or if they by some crazy chance go to the NC game, then I would hope that a big 12 or SEC school come to the Rose Bowl. Another big 10 team (second place Ohio State) would be the worst. If Oregon State makes it to the Rose Bowl, SC should get a BCS bid and could end up with a better game against a big 12 or SEC team.

I guess USC should be in correct? Who in the college football plays any schedule year in and year out like the SEC. We play at least 5 or more highly ranked teams a year...Who else does that...Dale

There is all these sissy teams all fresh just like the beginning of the season. If Florida is healthy, nobody but a few teams can play w/ them. I do think Texas is the best team right now and I hope Florida wins out, that will be fun then if they play each other. I would like to see a playoff system.
But since you did bring up National Championships...Lets look at some amongst the schools from each league
Big 12 - 18 Total
Oklahoma (7), Nebraska (5), Texas (4), Colorado (1), Texas A&M (1)
SEC - 16 Total
SEC 16 Alabama (7), LSU (3), Florida (2), Tennessee (2), Georgia (1), Auburn (1)
So yes.... historically the leagues are very similar!Being a major OU fan and a staunch conservative.... I am perpetually vexed w/ the conundrum of who to hate more. Obama or the Univ. of Saxet.

To be fair and show you I'm not tinting things...
The SEC does have a slightttttttttt advantage in all time wins. Statistically not enough of a margin to even consider... but never the less.... they have won 51% of the time. .... record between the SEC and Big 12 (Big 8 included as it's only fair) 63-60-6 .... not exactly walloping #'s there.Being a major OU fan and a staunch conservative.... As for Florida, they are a good team, but you get rewarded for consistency. Who's going to show up. Last year, they were very consistent. This year, not so much. Alabama is much better and I really don't see Penn State being able to hang with any of the top 5 in either the SEC or Big 12.Cursed by a fortune cookie: "Your principles mean more to you than any money or success."
