Now that would be a good game. I think I would like that better. For Florida to get there they would have to finish out the season strong at best. But I really do like that game against Texas, that would be a good one.

Hell I think it'd be more like 40+ to 10 (PSU would be lucky to get that many).

Of course what do I know... I mean Herbstreet thinks PSU has the best offense in the nation No clue how he he came to that conclusion.
Being a major OU fan and a staunch conservative.... I am perpetually vexed w/ the conundrum of who to hate more. Obama or the Univ. of Saxet.

That's the beauty of college football, I think that the passion that the fans have for their teams, whoever they may be, is more than that of most other sports. The good news is that this will all play out. My prediction (hope) for my team is that we make a BCS game (since Ohio State's loss to Penn St., we are practically out of the NC game). If it ends up being in the Rose Bowl (Oregon State still has to lose another game), I would hope that it is an undefeated Penn State team, or if they by some crazy chance go to the NC game, then I would hope that a big 12 or SEC school come to the Rose Bowl. Another big 10 team (second place Ohio State) would be the worst. If Oregon State makes it to the Rose Bowl, SC should get a BCS bid and could end up with a better game against a big 12 or SEC team.

I'm right there with you Lovin. The love and fight of the fans is great. I'm also glad you will argue with me and have valid points, I hate people that argue with no valid points.

Fight Fight Fight with the BCS and hope it crumble!!

Florida does not deserve a NC bid.

Whether they deserve it or not (I would hate to see them in it), with a win over Georgia this week and if they beat Alabama in the SEC title game then they would be right there "in the mix". I think that the same thing can be said about Georgia if they win this weekend.

WHY? There are as good as anyone else right now. They must win out, and prabably has the toughest schedule remaining.

I guess USC should be in correct? Who in the college football plays any schedule year in and year out like the SEC. We play at least 5 or more highly ranked teams a year...Who else does that...

The whole big 12 plays just as hard as you. They hit harder, play harder and it's just crazy!! Florida... sorry don't feel they fit in.

Big 12, Having a couple ranked team for 1 year doesn't fit in! All I have heard this year is how Texas has to play all these ranked teams in a row. Come on, this goes on every year in the SEC. The reason the SEC doesn't have more NC is because they beat the daylights out of each other all year long then come in the bowl game all beat up. There is all these sissy teams all fresh just like the beginning of the season. If Florida is healthy, nobody but a few teams can play w/ them. I do think Texas is the best team right now and I hope Florida wins out, that will be fun then if they play each other. I would like to see a playoff system.

How far back are we going here b/c, for quite some time, the big 12 has had 4 or 5 top 15 teams at the end of the year, just about every year. Last year we had TX, MO, KU, and OU all in the top 10 (AP polls). Your precious SEC had 2 in the top 10. Go back throughout the years.... you'll see the big 12 usually has just as many +/- 1 in the top 25 as the SEC. It's just usually not acknowledged by the east coast media!

But since you did bring up National Championships...Lets look at some amongst the schools from each league

                        Big 12 - 18 Total

                        Oklahoma (7), Nebraska (5), Texas (4), Colorado (1), Texas A&M (1)

                        SEC - 16 Total

                        SEC 16 Alabama (7), LSU (3), Florida (2), Tennessee (2), Georgia (1), Auburn (1)

So yes.... historically the leagues are very similar!

To be fair and show you I'm not tinting things...

The SEC does have a slightttttttttt advantage in all time wins. Statistically not enough of a margin to even consider... but never the less.... they have won 51% of the time. .... record between the SEC and Big 12 (Big 8 included as it's only fair) 63-60-6 .... not exactly walloping #'s there.

The Big 12 has 4 teams in the top 10.

As for Florida, they are a good team, but you get rewarded for consistency. Who's going to show up. Last year, they were very consistent. This year, not so much. Alabama is much better and I really don't see Penn State being able to hang with any of the top 5 in either the SEC or Big 12.

So let's hear your picks for the two big games this weekend Texas vs Texas Tech and Florida vs Georgia. IMHO I think that Texas will beat Tech, although I want Tech to win and I want Georgia to beat Florida, but I think that Florida will win in a close game, as much as I hate to say it.
