    BCS nightmare!!!!! --- Possible Scenario

    Wow... now this would cause all hell to break loose. Now what I don't understand about this whole scenario is the conference champion automatically gets a bid. This article says 1 and 2 go... but the by-laws state that the conference champion automatically gets a bid. Not that it matters b/c if Texas lost in that scenario that late in the schedule, they wouldn't be dropped just to #2. Instead I think they'd drop down to 4 or 5. Even if 2 or 3 at that time had 2 losses.

    Still would be fun to watch the BCS squirm!
    Being a major OU fan and a staunch conservative.... I am perpetually vexed w/ the conundrum of who to hate more. Obama or the Univ. of Saxet.

    I agree, I think if Texas loses they will drop just because the polls will not want a scenario like that. That being said, I am in favor of anything that will mess up the BCS. In my opinion, the more schools that get screwed the better. Then maybe somebody will do something about this and we can get to a playoff situation. At least starting with a plus one situation.

      i hope all heck breaks loose. I would not even care if my team got screwed out of a spot if it got rid of the BCS

        I've been seeing ESPN push alot for the OU/TX rematch as of late. So it's possible...not likely... but possible. What would be really good is to see, Texas, Bama, Penn St., USC, OU, OK State, Ohio St., and one of the other SEC teams all go with one loss, and keep UTAH undefeated. Talk about some screaming and yelling.

        The sad part is they wait till the summer to make any changes. Instead of doing it immediately after the championship game. They do this to allow things in the national media and amongst the fans to settle down. The BCS committee is hoping we're stupid enough to get distracted onto something else and forget about the previous years mess. Of course, we all have ADD and ADHD now... so maybe their thinking has some merits! LOL.

              Ohio State stunk it up badly. Their offense is so predictable that Penn State had it read from the beginning. It's too bad that they couldn't have pulled off the upset. Now I think that I'm pulling for three undefeated teams, with one of them (probably Penn St.) getting left out of the NC game. That would make the big 10 scream foul, just like the SEC did when an undefeated Auburn was left out and others have done as well. The more conferences that get the shaft the more likely we are to have the system changed. So I'm with Domsz on this. Anything to mess up the BCS, even if it means having Texas go undefeated.

              The BCS has already screwed with my philosophy, that being have Notre Dame lose every game they ever play. Now I have to hope for them to win to help my team's strength of schedule. Heaven forbid.

                ha ha ha! I was so mad when penn state won!! oh well. Let it just all go to pot now as far as I'm concerned!!

                        Penn State did what they had to do to win, but just barely. They played a typical (read: Boring) big 10 game. Penn State had better hope that they play a bowl game against the big 10 because outside of that conference, they'll lose big.

                        If Ohio State had any offiensive creative minds they would have (should have) scored more than enough to win that game, but they don't and their "hunker down" defensive mentality came back to bite them.

                          Nothing against PSU, but I really wanted them to lose so OU would move up in the polls.

                          Very hopeful that Texas Tech knocks off UT this weekned but then OU has to play Tech in the next couple of weeks. OU's defense better starting playing 4 full quarters or we will get stomped by Tech.

                            I hope tech pulls off the upset and beats ut. It does not matter though cuz ut will still go to the big 12 game and OU will still get the shaft.

                              But if we win the rest of our games and PSU or Alabama loses then we might still have a chance!
