Dang, I should have bought a house I couldn't afford.
Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity. Albert Einstein
I find the part about the IRS very interesting............didn't hear anything about this being part of the bill.............just goes to show you that too much government has the potential of being very dangerous..............

The federal government today announced that it is changing its emblem from an Eagle to a CONDOM because it more accurately reflects the government's political stance. A condom allows for inflation, halts production, destroys the next generation, protects a bunch of pricks and gives you a sense of security while you're actually being screwed!
Damn, it just doesn't get more accurate than that.

Let me hear some pros and cons on two issues.
1.Flat tax - Me im for it this way "everybody" pays.
2.Govt. provided healthcare- Me Im on the fence and it would really depend on the plan.
As far as healthcare goes, it already is here. I was just talking to the CEO of our hospital and %65 of all of the hospital's income is from government sponsored plans: Medicare and Medicaid. Ask anyone in the industry where they spend most of their inefficiency for the least reward and they will tell you it is in the Medicare and Medicaid programs. Ask someone who is involved in the VA system and they will tell you what government run healthcare is like.
We all clamor for the government to 'do something' so they do what they can, force the system to do more with less, so the system has to get the money from somewhere, so they turn to the dwindling private sector. Then costs go up for those who are privately insured, and we again clamor for the government to 'do something'. It is a vicious cycle.
My dad was Navy. We had to go to the Navy hospitals. If I was sick, it would take 4-6 hours min and then they would loose the records and have to start all over the next time in. I am really NOT Looking forward to being on govt sponsored health care.

My favorite (at as Air Force hospital) was when I broke my finger and they didn't bother setting it...I assumed it wasn't necessary. Two weeks later, at a follow-up, another doctor informed me that it had healed crooked and needed to be re-broken and cast.
