We'll it wasn't really fair. I started out as an aircraft mechanic and have spent most of my career in aviation parts sales. I've been in just about every maintenance hangar in the US.

That was the best part of the job when I worked for a distributor. You never knew what or who your going to see when you walk into a hangar. From Jimmy Buffet and his "toy box" of airplanes out on Long Island or the dreamworks hangar in CA. to some guy who just loves to fly but can not afford to maintain the plane and really shouldn't be flying over peoples houses.

One of my all-time favorites was a DC-3 up on floats on Moosehead lake in Maine.

And usually if someone has the money for exotic airplanes they also have some exotic cars and motorcycles stuck in the corner of the hangar.

Man I love old warplanes. Anyone ever catch the series on the History channel "Dogfights"? It was pretty sweet. Some of those dogfights were pretty intense and won simply by one pilot being smarter than the other and knowing the limits of his plane vs the enemy's. This one I remember a Hellcat pilot knew his plane could climb higher than the enemy's plane so he did a vertical climb and the other guy stalled out before he did and he took him out on the way back down...now that's strategy.

Is it fair that I have the most awesome display of pilots and planes for 10 days every year in my backyard?

Not only would the 1600 plus horsepower be nice, but the 1700 lbs. would eliminate the need for extra ballast.

Wrong! It is the obvious guess though. Look at the fuselage. That is all carbon fiber. Look at the size of it. Here you go. http://www.thundermustang.com/

You're right about one thing though, you want that motor.
